Snetterton - June 17th

We presented the car for its first outing with new redesigned bodywork at Snetterton. More bodywork pictures here.

A year and a half with the old bodywork, a novice racer and no damage, you guessed it, we already need a new nose and splitter.

Richard qualified on pole again, over half a second clear of Tom Mills and much more from the rest.  When the race came along, Richard found the car had too little down-force.  On the straight he was very quick, but suffered for this with poor braking performance elsewhere.

He and Tom exchanged places a couple of times, there were two safety car incidents which closed up the field and Tom made a good overtaking move into Russell which Richard failed to counter over the last two laps.

Second place is what we have had to settle for, but still lead the championship. The next race is at Cadwell, Richard has never raced there before but we hope to be back in front at our local circuit.
